As the only African American owned bank in the Washington DC area, Industrial Bank has helped thousands of low income and minority individuals and businesses participate in mainstream banking. The Bank has helped customers recover from recession, avoid predatory lending and check cashing services, and retain assets in-house or in-family. Industrial Bank hired IGS for social media strategies that will encourage even more people to use its services.

An audience-first approach to content creation

IGS researched financial needs and experiences among Industrial Bank’s target audiences to identify how to encourage interest in the Bank. IGS created content and a call to action based on input from each target audience. IGS delivered and monitored specific daily, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc social media posts or chats, and monitored online ‘chatter’ about the Bank, banks in general, and other topics. IGS also attended Industrial Bank community events to provide live social media postings.
