The Challenge

Providing support for healthcare events

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) enacted in 2010 continues to be the most controversial healthcare bill today. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) engaged IGS to provide outreach, branding, marketing, and event planning for the establishment and coordination of the CMS Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO). IGS organized events for healthcare eco-systems, grantees, states, nonprofits, and civic stakeholders with an interest in the new ACA healthcare exchanges.

The Solution

Qualified Expertise

IGS provided the technical and professional expertise for all aspects of event planning, management, and follow up. We performed site selection and space planning; registration; on-site logistics (including audio-visual services) for CMS, its subcontractor (Booz Allen), and other stakeholders; and post-event attendee surveys and recap report for CMS and CCIIO. IGS created the event branding, theme, and outreach to approved stakeholders provided by CMS; and the website (including maintenance), webcast, graphic design, information materials, and digital marketing.

For the first of its kind CMS training program IGS recruited more than 400 attendees for two programs exceeding the target of 250.
