Isom Global Strategies (IGS) has found itself pleasantly overwhelmed as of late with leading PR professionals opting for greater opportunity. Career PR strategist Seleana Bines is one of many to transition from top PR firms to IGS in recent months. She joins as Project Director for Marine Week, a contract IGS executes with subcontractor Fleishman-Hillard. Bines will oversee several areas of the production for Marine Week. She leaves Ogilvy Washington's Social Marketing group, where she served as Account Director.
Prior to working for Ogilvy Washington, Bines held the position of PR Manager for Maya Advertising and Communications, where she led strategic implementation of integrated marketing campaigns for numerous government clients. Bines' expertise includes implementing multipronged approaches for research, creative, media partnerships, earned media and grassroots marketing, and awareness and call-to-action campaigns. Bines holds a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and an M.B.A.
"Since I've transitioned to full CEO functions, such as generating business," says President/CEO Towan Isom, "I've had to shift my responsibilities. I still consult on projects but have had to supplement my capabilities with powerhouse PR experts like Seleana and others. IGS has been intentional about recruiting the best and the brightest in the industry."
Bines is the most recent in a run of individuals opting to leave top firms to join the ranks at IGS, including Jacky Yoo from Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Maya Calabrese from Fleishman-Hillard. On leaving Hill+Knowlton to join IGS, Yoo says: "Being a part of an international agency was a great experience, but being a team member at IGS has been an experience like no other. This is a unique opportunity for multifaceted exposure to a variety of industries. IGS is an up-and-coming agency and is a force to be reckoned with. I hope to be an integral part of this resilient force and am eager to be an impactful contributor to the success and continual growth of the agency."
"We may be a small business, but we have big heart and want big people with big ideas," says CEO Isom. IGS was recently awarded several contracts for GSA Advertising and Integrated Marketing Solutions (AIMS), including in the following areas: Advertising Services, Market Research, and Analysis Services; Video/Film Production Services; Conference, Events, and Trade Show Planning Services; Commercial Art and Graphic Design Services; and Integrated Marketing Services.
