Isom Global Strategies CEO Selected into Goldman Sachs $500 Million Entrepreneurial Initiative

September 1, 2015 — Washington, D.C. President and CEO, Towan Isom, to participate in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program

Isom Global Strategies President and CEO Towan Isom was selected to participate in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, a $500 million initiative geared toward helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and create employment opportunities. Ms. Isom is one of 5,000 small business owners nationwide to have been chosen for the program.

As a selected applicant, Isom will receive world-class business education and training in negotiation, marketing, financial capital, and business support services.

To date, the 10,000 Small Businesses program has expanded to 24 markets across the U.S. and U.K., cultivating a premiere network of more than 100 academic and community partners. Isom will be a member of the 2015 fall cohort at Babson College in Babson Park, MA, rated number one for entrepreneurship education by U.S. News World Report and the Princeton Review.

“I am so honored Goldman Sachs has recognized Isom Global Strategies through my acceptance into the program,” Isom said. “Our team has achieved much success since our inception in 2010, and I am looking forward to the program helping us further address those sometimes unavoidable barriers that small businesses face. It will provide key insights into how we continue to grow as a company.”

During the 16-week classroom-based practicum, Isom will receive both group and one-on-one training focused on employment management, financial capital, successful negotiating techniques, interactions with investors, support services and the creation of impactful growth plans. The program seeks to unlock the job-creation potential among 10,000 small businesses across the U.S.

“I was recommended to the program by Victor Holt of V-Tech Solutions and Robert Palmer of Creative Business Solutions, Inc. They thought I would be a great fit,” Isom said. “Through my participation, I hope to identify and leverage areas of opportunity I never knew existed for IGS. I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with my team.”

Selection into the program is competitive. Applicants must be an owner or co-owner of a business that has been in operation for at least two years, earns revenues between $150,000 and $4 million in the most recent fiscal year and possesses a minimum of four employees.
